As my first Brandon Sanderson book, I was pleasantly surprised when reading this. The plot isn’t predictable and had many moments which left me reading in shock. I am very encouraged to continue reading Sanderson’s work.

The sense of childhood nostalgia mixed with the strange events unravelling, keep you wanting to read more. I would recommend this books to others who are fans of psychological thrillers.
